We are happy to offer discounted admission to scouts, homeschool groups, and summer camps with 20 or more paid admissions. Before visiting,
students are encouraged to watch an 11-minute informational video to give them a brief history of the site,
which can be viewed here.
Chaperones will be given comprehensive tour guide maps to explain the features of the site.
A picnic area is available for lunches. We suggest bringing a bagged lunch as we do not have a cafeteria.
Please plan on 2-3 hours to fit in all activities.
Hands-On Kid's Dig
Our non-sensitive dig pits are available for reserved school groups. Students will dig in a grid and use
our archaeology tools to excavate polished stones. This is an educational and fun hands-on activity.
Students spend approximately 45 minutes in the dig pit. The dig pit is
only available for preschool through grade 7.
Activity Worksheets
We offer printable worksheets to be distributed in class and completed during a tour of the site at
America's Stonehenge. Please visit the learning center for these teaching
accompaniments. If there is something you would like to see that we do not currently offer, please let
us know so that we can incorporate it into our program.
Tour Options
Mobile App Tour: This tour option offers more detailed information than the paper tour guide maps,
and also includes an audio component. The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play store at home (recommended to be
connected to WiFi) before your visit. It is compatible with smartphones and tablets. This tour option takes roughly 1.5 hours.
Chaperone-Guided Tour: This tour is chaperone-guided (self-guided). We will supply our tour guide map,
which covers all stops on the tour. This map is meant to be either read aloud or independently by the
group. This tour is available for all ages. Recommended for grades 3rd and under. This tour option takes
roughly 1 hour.
If you are not sure which tour is most appropriate for your group, please feel free to call us at (603)
893-8300. It is also possible to mix tour styles to suit your students' learning styles.
Alpacas
Our alpacas are here for your enjoyment. Students can meet and learn about these fascinating animals.
Orientation Film
Before arriving at the site, we encourage our visitors to watch the orientation video. This
video helps students to better understand what they will be seeing on our site.
